Casting "Sunscreen" a short film about a young couple struggling with their relationship at the beach. Shelby: Pretty girl who puts lots of effort into keeping it that way; a bit of a control freak, but hoping to work on it; insecure and always afraid to lose Mason. Actress MUST be deaf herself, not CODA. Mason: Boy next door, latterly learning to look for more of an essence; strong moral compass and growing impatience with Shelby; undiplomatic much to his own regret. Actor himself MUST be CODA, not deaf. Actors can be any ethnicity, but they must look in their 20's. No experience necessary; this is a paid opportunity and there is a short audition process involved. The film is written and directed by Edna Luise Biesold and produced by Nancy Pop.
