made in England, dating to approximately the 1940s...pattern #1593- Pink Roses Gold Gilded Swirl...22k gold trim on rim, handle, spout and lid finial...locking lid...4 cup teapot- holds approximately 28 oz...stands approximately 6.5" H to top of finial
excellent vintage condition- no cracks or chips...almost no wear to the gold gilding, which is unusual as these usually show moderate amounts of trim wear...
the form suggests to me a milk pitcher or creamer, but research indicates it's a tea pot...regardless, a very nice little lidded Sadler piece in excellent shape!
