URJ Introduction to Judaism Online Taught in ASL
Join Rabbi Rebecca L. Dubowe for this 20 session online course for Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults who wish to gain a deeper understanding of Jewish life. This course is designed for you, whether you are in an interfaith relationship, an adult raising Jewish children, a spiritual seeker, considering conversion, or a Jew who wants a meaningful adult learning experience. Topics include holidays, life cycle, core beliefs, simple Hebrew vocabulary, prayer, Bible and other sacred texts, history, the Holocaust, Israel in the Jewish story, the North American Jewish experience, and the diversity of the Jewish people today.
