Presented by Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in collaboration with The Metropolitan Opera
For almost 140 years, earning a place on stage at The Metropolitan Opera has stood as the pinnacle of any opera singer’s career. The Other Side of the Stars spotlights the depth and diversity of The Met’s stellar roster of soloists as they explore fresh methods of musical expression. This new genre-blind series opens with a concert from Grammy Award-winning mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard, recently featured in The Met's Cinderella, alongside the classical guitarist Pablo Sáinz-Villegas, who Billboard calls “the soul of the Spanish guitar.” The duo performs an intimate recital featuring operatic favorites paired with Argentinian folk songs, and popular Spanish songs.
