The Moth x The Drawing Center: Story-Telling Workshop on Voice of Space
Join us for a two-hour workshop with The Moth's storytelling facilitators to develop your storytelling skills in preparation for our upcoming StorySLAM event on January 15, featuring stories about UFOs and paranormal phenomena, the unknown, and mysteries of the universe.
The Moth Community Engagement Program provides the space, tools, and expertise for people to practice the art and craft of personal storytelling. In this workshop, you'll shape a life experience of your choosing into a well-crafted story. Experienced Moth instructors will guide you through recognizing the elements of a compelling story, exploring a unique story of your own, and connecting more deeply with others in the room. You can choose a story from any corner of your life—you don't need to have it identified beforehand, as brainstorming story ideas is part of the workshop.
Whether you register for this introductory workshop or not, everyone is encouraged to attend the StorySLAM on January 15 (6:30–8:30 p.m. in our galleries), where attendees selected at random will have the opportunity to share their stories.
