Please join Drag Out The Vote and the Leslie Lohman Museum for an evening of art and activism with a special screening of "The Beauty President". Brought to us by Director Whitney Skauge of Breakwater Studios, Executive Producer Lena Waithe, and in partnership with the L.A. Times, The Beauty President documents the phenomenal Terence Alan Smith aka drag queen Joan Jett Blakk, as they ran for President in 1992. With a vision far ahead of their time, Joan Jett Black made history with their run. Following the screening will be a panel discussion including Terence Alan Smith and Director Whitney Skauge. An iconic piece of LGBTQ+ History, we welcome you to join us on April 13th from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M at the Leslie Lohman Museum in Manhattan. ASL interpretation will be provided.
