Please join us for The Museum of Modern Art’s bimonthly program welcoming individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing to participate in an ASL–interpreted private gallery talk focusing on one of MoMA’s special exhibitions, along with a wine and snack reception.
In November, we will explore the exhibition Artist’s Choice: Grace Wales Bonner–Spirit Movers. London-based designer Grace Wales Bonner has gathered more than 50 artworks from the Museum’s collection that explore sound, movement, performance, and style in the African diaspora and beyond. Together with curatorial assistant Dana Liljegren, we will examine the works presented not as static objects or images but as dynamic entities deeply connected to ritual, devotion, and collective experience.
5:00 p.m. - Check-in at the Lauder Building staff entrance at 11 W 53rd Street, east of the main lobby under the curved silver awning, with wine and cheese reception
6:00 p.m. - Tour and gallery conversation with exhibition curatorial assistant Dana Lijegren
Interpreting MoMA is offered free of charge. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
