The Ragin' Cajun is a 50 minute film, part of the 1998 series Mind Traveler series hosted by Oliver Sacks:
The story of Danny Delcambre, a Cajun chef and a person with Usher Syndrome, a genetic condition where people are born deaf and gradually lose their sight. Danny’s restaurant, The Ragin’ Cajun, made history as the first DeafBlind-owned and staffed restaurant. The series host, neurologist Oliver Sacks (author of The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat) explores Deaf and DeafBlind community culture and the unique linguistic richness of American Sign Language (ASL), including tactile signing.
