Deaf interpreters will explore the evolution of interpreting including the cultural, social, and historical contexts that shaped the profession. They will understand the guiding philosophies of interpreting such as linguistic equality, cultural mediation and ethical principles. They will gain knowledge of legal terminology, courtroom procedures, ProTactile methods all while maintaining linguistic and cultural integrity.
