Brooklyn Museum ASL Tour: Iris van Herpen
Visitors from the D/deaf community are invited to explore Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses on an American Sign Language (ASL) tour, led by a Deaf teaching artist. After a brief meet-and-greet, decode how Van Herpen’s designs draw on biomimicry, fractal geometry and mathematics, and neuroscience, transforming cutting-edge discoveries into sculptural gowns and ethereal fabrics.
