Brooklyn Museum ASL Tour: Iris van Herpen
Visitors from the D/deaf community are invited to explore Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses on an American Sign Language (ASL) tour, led by a Deaf teaching artist. After a brief meet-and-greet, decode how Van Herpen’s designs draw on biomimicry, fractal geometry and mathematics, and neuroscience, transforming cutting-edge discoveries into sculptural gowns and ethereal fabrics. This free tour is designed for the d/Deaf community in ASL only, without voice interpretation. If you are an ASL student, email access@brooklynmuseum.org for more information about ASL student tours for those at level 3 or above.
