Brooklyn for President | A #BHeard Town Hall
With the 2020 Presidential Election on the horizon, BRIC has invited Brooklyn’s smartest thought leaders to a virtual #BHeard Town Hall to create a “Brooklyn for President” focus group. Each panelist will present three platform plank bullets for their new administration. The group will then collectively endeavor to establish Brooklyn’s five most important platform pillars from the original list of potentially disparate issues. Opening Remarks by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams. This event will feature ASL interpretation. Panelists include José Albino, Executive Director of GRIOT Circle; Mahogany L. Browne, writer, organizer & educator; Michelle de la Uz, Executive Director of Fifth Avenue Committee, Inc.; Rae Gomes, dedicated writer, social justice activist, organizer, and racial justice trainer; Nadia Lopez is an educator, author, and founder of The Lopez Effect; and Randy Peers, President and CEO, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.
