Course Description: In Advanced ASL I, you will dig deep into the realm of ASL. Advanced ASL is an intensive hands-on course that will foster your development in ASL skills. This course will reinforce your process of expressing ASL in various registers, such as narration, formal presentation, and casual conversation. The course also covers basic ASL linguistics, cultural rules, and the Deaf community and its history. TARGET AUDIENCE: For serious ASL students who have been intently studying ASL for at least two years and who have been actively involved with the Deaf community. Alternatively, heritage signers with Deaf family members welcome. *Required Text: Signing Naturally - Level 3
