Come and enjoy the 16th Big Apple ASL Festival — a fun-filled community event featuring over 60 indoor vendor booths. The event is conveniently located near NYC’s only outdoor shopping outlets and the Staten Island September 11th Memorial.
We welcome over 1,000 attendees, including members of the Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, and new signer communities from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Long Island.
Several other schools have confirmed their participation, including Lexington School for the Deaf, Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf, New York "Fanwood" School for the Deaf, St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf, St. Joseph's School for the Deaf, and PS 347 for the first time in the metro NYC Deaf expo history.
🌟 This year is extra special as we celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Junior NAD Metro NYC Chapter, originally founded in 1985 at the Manhattan home of Juan Vietrosz’s parents. We invite all past and present members to join this memorable celebration. We will continue to celebrate right after the festival for Deaf Night Live at River Dock Cafe, only a block away from the event site.
🎶 Enjoy a live performance by Gregory Watkins' Deaf Music Ensembles!
A grand prize drawing for a large TV—sponsored by HearMore—will be held around 4:30 PM.
