The New York Foundling’s Family Services for Deaf Children and Adults is a specialized program for families in which there is one or more Deaf members.
Eligibility Criteria: There is a Deaf or Hard of Hearing family member; A child under the age of 18 is in need of services due to risk factors present in the home; The family resides in any of the 5 boroughs of NYC.
All staff are fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and provide home-based services including Parenting and home management skills, Psycho-educational and therapeutic groups facilitated in ASL, Crisis intervention, Linkage and Referrals to community resources, Accessibility/Interpreter advocacy.
