THE IMPERIAL PRESIDENCY AND POLICE POWER
Fictive Witness: The Imperial Presidency and Police Power is an online screening and lecture-performance between artists Alex Strada and Tali Keren and scholars Alex S. Vitale and Nikhil Pal Singh. Using Strada and Keren's film, Save the Presidents, as a point of departure, Vitale will explore the deep history of the American Presidency in relation to the Black Lives Matter movement and their calls to “defund the police.” Singh will respond to Vitale’s provocation to “abolish the presidency.”
