Playwrights Horizon's Accessibility Super Night
This night centers access, and our audience members with accessible needs. We will have ASL interpreters, GalaPro, Assisted Listening devices, Audio Description, a Touch Tour, and elements of a Relaxed Performance all in one night. As always, we will also have available seating for wheelchair users (those who can and can't transfer) and their guests. We welcome people with disabilities, family members, friends, allies and access justice workers in the arts community. A reception with food and drinks will immediately follow The Trees performance in the Mainstage Lobby. The show runs about one hour and 40 minutes. Please note that wearing maks is required in the theater at all times, except when eating or drinking. PROMO CODE TREESASN can be used to access $30 tickets. Enter the promo code in the upper right corner and press submit. The Trees by Agnes Borinsky asks us to consider: in our mercenary world, how can we have a more expansive notion of what change is possible? What of our old lives do we hold onto? Late one night, drunk-stumbling home through a neighborhood park, two siblings’ feet take root in the earth. Literally. Word of this extraordinary event spreads and brings together an otherwise disparate group of strangers, each seeking renewed purpose.
