Deaf Health Survey
The National Center for Deaf Health Research (NCDHR) from Rochester, NY has received funding from the New York State Department of Health to provide their Deaf Health Survey to Deaf communities all over the state of New York. This is an opportunity for Deaf communities state-wide, to show the NYS Health Department, our community needs, health priorities and hopefully provide an overall snapshot of Deaf communities in New York. The Deaf Health Survey is available in ASL (video) and English (text). The NCDHR has visited communities in Buffalo, Syracuse, and Rome so far. They will plan to come to NYC later this summer and early fall. If you would like to cohost an event to provide the survey to your community, contact Kelly (Kelly_Matthews@urmc.rochester.edu) The NCDHR is actively recruiting for the Deaf Health Survey NOW. If you would like to take the survey, the link is here: https://nysdhs.urmc.rochester.edu/ Please note that the survey only works in Google Chrome and best used with a laptop/computer, not a mobile device. If you would like the NCDHR to visit your community and host a survey event, please get in touch with them: NCDHR@urmc.rochester.edu or VP (585) 268-2776.
