Deaf Experiences in the Age of COVID-19
This webinar brings together Deaf community members from NJ & the NYC Metro area. Sign Language Resources (SLR) and NYC Black Deaf Advocates (NYC BDA) have collaborated on an opportunity for Deaf panelists to share experiences accessing healthcare and other critical services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Panelists will describe how these systems are and continue to be different from pre-COVID times. They will discuss potential solutions so that Deaf people can have access to quality medical care and critical services during this pandemic. Attendees will understand the challenges the Deaf community is facing accessing healthcare and other critical services.
