Dark Disabled Stories by Ryan Haddad
Haddad's newest autobiographical play, Dark Disabled Stories, is a series of stirring vignettes about the strangers he encounters while navigating a city (and a world) not built for his walker and cerebral palsy. By turns raunchy, hilarious, and unforgiving, Dark Disabled Stories probes implicit ableism and the assumptions we make about people we'll never really know. Access info: All seats are located on accessible routes and have flexible seating that can be removed for mobility devices. All restrooms, including accessible restrooms, located to the right of the bandshell. FM ALDs with headsets or neck loops available to borrow. ASL interpretation and audio description is integrated into the performance. Captioning available on personal devices via QR code to streamtext link. For guests who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing, reserve tickets at least 5 days in advance of the performance by emailing access@lincolncenter.org or contacting 212 875 5375.
