Casting Hard of Hearing / ASL Woman for Inaugural Projection
PAY: $150 flat rate for up to 10 hours of rehearsal (we may not use all of that time) + the Reading. Being cast for this reading almost ensures being cast for the full production run taking place in November 2023. ROLE: ERIN 20s-30s years old; Hispanic, White; Hard of Hearing; Fluent in ASL. Female or Trans Female. This character lost most of her hearing about five years ago in a tragic accident. She wears hearing aids, and still has the use of her voice, although she chooses to communicate through ASL and works as a translator for multiple languages. Erin is a highly skilled, classically trained musician (violin and piano) and composer. She doesn't believe she can be the great musician she once was due to her hearing loss. It is a plus if the actors submitting can also play a musical instrument, but it is not required. ACTORS MAY SUBMIT by emailing their head shot, resume, demo reel, and website (if applicable) to info@brazenlighttheater.org, and may also feel free to tell us a little bit about themselves.
